Christ College Pune recognizes sports and physical education as one of their competent strengths and accepts the need and importance of physical education in the budding generation. At Christ College Pune, Department of Physical Education and Sports performs various activities for the overall physical development of the students. Christ College Pune is known for its performance in Football and Shooting all over the city of Pune and has produced various players who represented Pune City, Pune University, Maharashtra State and India U 19 football Players.

Goals

They physical educators will serve as role models and demonstrate knowledge of health, physical education and wellness. The physical education classes will provide a variety of activities which will motivate the students and increase participation.

Objectives

The physical education program will allow the students to participate in developmentally appropriate activities. The physical education program will develop and reinforce cooperative behavior. The physical education program will teach the students to establish life-long fitness goals.

Consistent with the College as a whole, the Sports Department is committed to the quest for excellence; to the personal formation of our students; and to the pursuit of a just society. The College’s dedication to excellence is an integral part of the Sports Department’s goals and objectives and a primary consideration in our service to students and to the College. Through these activities, the Sports Department provides an educational experience that promotes the development of the whole person intellectually, physically, socially, and spiritually.

Through its offerings, the Sports Department plays an integral part in the personal formation and development of students, preparing them for citizenship, service, and leadership. The College pursuit of a just society is fostered through the Sports Department’s commitment to the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and honesty. The Sports Department promotes the principles of sportsmanship, fair play, and fiscal responsibility in compliance with College policies.
