Ragging is a social evil causing an ill effect on the student community which have psychological and physical effect on a student. The menace of ragging which corrodes the spirit of the education needs to be curbed. Christ College -Pune has established Anti-Ragging cell as per the regulations of University Grant Commission to maintain a Ragging-free campus. Anti -Ragging cell ensures discipline amongst students in the classrooms and within college campus. The aim is to improve senior-junior relations and making the college a better place for the holistic development of the students. For this purpose, an Anti-Ragging Squad is also formed to continuously monitor the behaviour of students and to take preventive measures to maintain ‘Ragging Free Campus’, Awareness programs are conducted regularly by the cell to educate the students about UGC guidelines on curbing the menace of ragging, measures taken by cell, consequences of ragging and
punishments to those found guilty.
