Christ College Science Association
CCSA (Christ College Science Association) is an initiative of the students as well as
faculties from the science department. They are divided into groups to conduct activities. It
provides a great opportunity for students to engage in hands-on learning experiences and
develop their skills in science. Club activities in science can help to stimulate interest in
science and encourage curiosity about scientific topics. By working together to solve
problems and complete projects, students can learn to communicate effectively, delegate
tasks, and support one another. Science club activities can encourage creativity and
innovation by allowing students to think outside the box and explore new ideas

Department of Science organized a guest lecture on the topic “ What is Data Science and
Introduction To Pravinyam”. It was arranged on 27 th February 2023 in Chavara Hall. Data
science is a rapidly growing field, as the amount of data generated by businesses,
organizations, and individuals continues to increase exponentially. It has applications in a
wide range of fields, from healthcare and finance to marketing and social media, and plays
an increasingly important role in shaping the world we live in.
Online National Workshop
A three days National level Online Workshop was conducted by Department of Science,
Christ College Pune on 14 th -16 th February 2023. On 14, th Mr. Nithin Varghese, Assistant
Professor, Department of English, SB College, Changanassery delivered a wonderful
session on “Ethical Issues in Research”. His session was informative, thought provoking and
provided the participants with valuable insights. On 15th, Dr. Antony Joseph, Associate
Professor, Department of Commerce, SB College, Changanassery delivered a talk on
“Inferential Statistics for Research.” The session provided a unique perspective on the use of
inferential statistics in research. On 16 th , Dr. Amod Markale, Ex. Diirector, Zeal Education
Society, Pune delivered an insightful session on “Data Analysis in Research” . The session
was about latest techniques and methodologies for data analysis.

B.Sc (Regular) program at CHRIST College, Pune fosters value based education, enrich project based learning and create foundation for research. We train the students in skill oriented courses. Our aim is to increase self confidence gain effective communication skills and presentation skills and thus develop the personality of students. We are practicing Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) given by SPPU. The CBCS system facilitates systematic and thorough learning towards better understanding of the subject . The well planned curricula from 1st to 3rd year comprising of six semesters will definitely motivate the students for inculcating enough skills required for becoming a successful professional as well as researcher.

2. Fill out the online enquiry form with all the necessary details and submit it along with the required documents
3. After the submission of the online enquiry form, an email will be sent from the college for further rounds of the admission process, which will commence from 1st week of May 2023. If in case, you do not receive an email you can visit the college office during the working hours
4. If shortlisted, you will be called for an interview and counselling session. This will be done to assess your subject knowledge, attitude, and general knowledge
5. You will have to collect the admission form, from the college office
6. The counselling session will be conducted to help you choose the right course based on your interests and career aspirations
7. After the counselling and sessions with the subject experts, you will be called for an interview with the Principal of the college. (It is mandatory for the candidate to be accompanied by their Parents/ Guardian)
8. The final selection will be informed shortly
9. If you are selected you will need to pay the college fees to secure your seat in the
college
