The Department of Science at Christ College, established in 2007, is committed to delivering high-quality education in the field of science. The department offers undergraduate (B.Sc. in Computer Science) and postgraduate (M.Sc. in Computer Science) programs designed to equip students with a strong academic foundation and practical skills. Our dedicated and highly qualified faculty members create an intellectually stimulating environment, utilizing innovative teaching approaches such as project-based learning and experiential learning. Overview

The B.Sc. (Computer Science) is a well-structured four-year degree (Honours) program offered by the Faculty of Science and Technology. The primary objective of this course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in problem-solving using computer science and technology or to pursue advanced studies and research in the field.

The curriculum integrates core Computer Science subjects alongside foundational courses in Mathematics, Electronics, and Statistics, providing a comprehensive understanding of computing sciences. This approach ensures students develop both the theoretical knowledge and the practical problem-solving skills required to excel in the rapidly evolving field of computer science.

from the HOD

Welcome to the Department of Science at CHRIST COLLEGE, PUNE. 

We began on the journey in 2007. With a recent emphasis on creating IT professionals with moral and ethical principles, we increased our knowledge and proficiency in computer science education and study fundamentals of creating IT professionals with moral and ethical principles; we have expanded our expertise and proficiency in the fundamentals of computer science education and research. The Department has consistently worked to equip students with the complex and social skills they need to keep up with the fast advancements in IT and research. Our curriculum's primary goals are to convey technological knowledge, advance problem-solving abilities, interest learners in developing new technologies, and spark their talent for research. The curriculum is updated regularly to include cutting-edge science and technological advancements. The Post Graduate Program in MSc Computer Science was established to bridge the gap between computer education and industry. Operating systems, networks, object-oriented programming, data analysis, and many other ideas are covered in the training of students.
