INTEGRATING HUMAN VALUES AND PROFESSIONAL ETHICS IN THE WORKPLACE

On February 26, 2024, a workshop was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) in collaboration with the Department of Arts, sponsored by the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The focus of the workshop was on "Integrating Human Values and Professional Ethics in the Workplace."

The session commenced with an inaugural address by the esteemed guest speakers Mr. Merin Varghese and Ms. Ruby Kumari. Mr. Varghese emphasized the crucial role of human values and professional ethics in shaping a conducive work environment. He underscored the importance of integrity, honesty, empathy, and respect in professional conduct.

Ms. Kumari, a seasoned industry professional with extensive experience in corporate ethics, shared practical strategies for integrating ethical principles into everyday workplace practices. She emphasized the significance of ethical decision-making frameworks and encouraged students to prioritize ethical considerations in their professional endeavors.

Moreover, the sessions provided a platform for students to share their perspectives and experiences regarding ethical challenges in the workplace.

In conclusion, the guest session on integrating human values and professional ethics in the workplace proved to be immensely informative and thought-provoking. It served as a catalyst for fostering a culture of ethical awareness and responsibility among participants, thereby contributing to the creation of ethically sound work environments.
